Thanksgiving always brings about a time to stop and be grateful for all that we have. Gratitude comes in many forms – solid friendships, the love of family, good health and security.

Showing appreciation to our clients and employees goes a long way. In a recent article from Premium Incentive Products, we learn that the expense to onboard a new hire exceeds $4,000. So we want to be sure an employee is happy and feels appreciated. They also share that an employee who has been recognized is 63% more likely to stay at his or her job within the next three to six months.

Of course personalized gifts are always appreciated more; however, having some fun with little giveaways can also create a happy environment. One fun idea PIP shares is to develop a “12 days of Christmas” program involving gifts or gestures leading up to winter break. How about creating your own Advent Calendar? Imagine the excitement in your clients when they receive that delivery!

Appreciation should be happening throughout the year; however, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holidays and a time to initiate recognition efforts that can extend throughout the coming year.
